Daniel...

What is that in his mouth you wonder?

Daniel eating a tortilla with peanut butter,
cut in strips for what I thought was easy eating.

Spring is in the air..

We had some visitors on our lawn this morning.
Daniel and I fed them bread so they would stick around,
but when the loud garbage truck came we couldn't find them again in our yard.
This is the first flower to bloom in our yard for us to enjoy.
We LOOOOVE it!

What really happens during nap time

No, someone did not break into Daniel's room and overturn everything. This was all his doing. This marked his third day, post binky. Rather than sleep, which would have been crazy, he tore his room apart. Quietly. He seems to be adjusting now, but I believe he has vowed to make all transitions memorable.

Shout Out for Help...

I found myself getting the kids ready for the day in front of the TV this morning, mostly so I could do Abby's hair without complaining. Then it was time to turn off the TV, but I still had to shower. I couldn't even finish going to the bathroom and get in the shower before I could hear the two kids fighting and yelling. Daniel was ready to throw a toy car at Abby and she was running down the hall to hiding in our bedroom. This is so normal when I shut the bathroom door for anything personal. Is there any thoughts out there to have a little control over Daniel when I have to shower or go to the bathroom without a TV?

But besides that, I have added three new posts below this one with pictures. They are a lot more fun than this post.

Our little craft of the day

Ok, this is the only perductive thing I have done all day,
besides fixing some simple meals for the kids so they don't starve. Bird feeder in the tree.

The three feeders we made from peanut butter and bird seed.

Abby has been waiting to do this craft for a while now,
but this is the first day she talked me into it.

Abby's Indoor Soccer

Abby has been playing indoor soccer. She really looks forward to the practices and games. And the socializing is fun too. Oh, she happens to be the only girl on her kindergarten team. Even though she hasn't been able to be the goaly yet, she still loves it.
Daniel has fun at her games too, but not really from watching her.

Abby's coach likes to position Abby in the guard the goal position because she will actually stays there when he asks her to. This is a video of her making a great play. After her great defensive kick, her coach (who can stay in the court during the game) removes an extra soccer ball from the court. After I stopped recording, I realized it was our little Daniel that threw it in the court while we weren't watching him. Thanks Daniel.

A Little Bit Of March

Daniel loves to help mom when she is cooking dinner.
He is trying to cook ground turkey before the pan got hot.

This is Daniel eating the enchilada pie he helped me make.

Abby grew this from a bean. It needed to be transplanted and we didn't get it done before it got sick from some green stuff that grew in the jar. Poor plant!

Here is a fuzzy picture of the beans she got from her plant. They weren't quite ready to be picked yet. But she loved the whole experience anyway.
