Just Another Saturday

This shot was taken after Abby's final soccer game when she received her participation trophy (which Daniel later broke).

No, he isn't licking plywood, he is watching Abby's soccer game through a peep hole in the wood.

Kristin called this "Extreme Toddler Sports" because Abby is on a toddler bike. Well, it makes sense to her.
Downhill Daniel!

Catching up on April

Abby turned 6 years old.
She loves that she is six.
We love having this smiling girl in our family. She is a big helper to me and she loves her family and friends. She loves to share with them, she has a big heart. She enjoys school. But more than anything she loves hugs and kisses anytime.
This is Abby on her birthday at breakfast. She gets to pick what she eats all day long.
This is her pancakes with strawberries with whip cream, yum.
Daniel thought we were having cake for breakfast.

This is her party with her five friends.
After the party was over, I asked what her favorite game was that we played. She said, "the one we made up while we were eating cake and ice cream, when we were making weird faces."
So, next time, I won't plan any games, they love their own more anyway.

It was a jungle themed party, and even Daniel got to join in the fun.

This is the kids following the map for the treasure they were looking for.

We started Daniel potty training. This is him watching TV on the plastic mat.

And reading books on the plastic mat.

It all started out so fun.

Abby taught herself to ride a bike this week. She decided she would work on her blance while she peddled just once, but it turned into learning how to ride after a few falls and many successes.

This is her only a day or so later, but the wind is blowing, sorry.
And we can't forget Daniel.
He finally learned to handle his tricycle. He has such a tantrum everytime he would start to go backwards that he has been working on this since last summer.

Potty Training

I can't stand potty training. It is the hardest thing I have gone through as a parent so far, and I hope it never gets worse than this. I think I have the most stubborn boy there ever was. I can't figure out what motivates him yet. He knows what he is doing, or isn't doing, but he doesn't care to change it. AAHHHH!!!!!!!!

The Beauty of Nature

Abby named this bird "Bonky", and this is why.

Easter Eggs

Abby and I made our own nests out of shredded paper and glue.

How did we make these cool colored eggs?

It wasn't with a dye kit.

A new addition.....

The new addition to our family is Abby's new pillow pet.
It is the softest thing you have ever felt before.Daniel and Abby are equally in love with it.

Abby allowed Daniel to ride the pillow pet down the hallway.
Maybe we will get him one for his birthday in the summer.

It is Spring yet?

We woke up to about a foot of snow on Thursday.
It started on Wednesday morning and just kept on coming all day and night long.
The kids couldn't wait to go out and play in it.
Daniel decided to prepare himself to go out and play in the snow.

After playing in the snow they enjoyed some homemade hot chocolate.
*Note, it tastes better with real milk instead of the powder milk.
