A couple of our messes this week

Of course, we have more than 2 messes a week, but I wanted to share a cute one and a the messiest one.
We discovered Sarah enjoys a good raspberry every now and then.

I personally learned not to heat a tortilla on the burner and then go cut your tomatoes for your lunch. I decided I should just stay by the burner and be patient.

Princess Sarah turned one year old

On June 20th, Sarah turned one. She is only crawling for now, which is good for mom. However, she can climb things that most crawlers can't climb. She loves to smile and get attention from the family, but stares at strangers like they are from another planet. She laughs a fake laugh when other people are talking and laughing, she just wants to be part of the fun. She LOVES her brother and sister. There is nothing more fun for her than a good wrestle on the couch or the big bed. She even growls. She is a miss smarty pants that knows when she is doing something she shouldn't and still tries to get away with it. But we LOVE her anyway.
Take a look at this birthday outfit, fit for a princess. Compliments of Aunt Beth.
(She is trying to put on Dan's sunglasses)

She actually enjoyed the wet rag mom was using to clean her up more than the cupcake.
The frosting on the cupcake was fun to play in, but the cake part didn't make it past her lips.
Take a look at that belly.

I'm playing in the rain, just playing in the rain.

We found when it rains in Florida, it really rains. These puddles formed in just a few minutes. (Near the end of the video, Daniel was asking to sit in the puddle.)

New happenings

Abby earned a silver medal for the first grade spelling bee.
She was very pleased and so are we.

Sarah ready for a smoocher.

Now, she is really getting into it.

Abby turned Seven

I can hardly believe Abby is seven years old.
She is such a joy to our family. She always has a hug or a kiss waiting for us. She can't get enough of them. She loves her little brother and baby sister. She loves for people to be happy and will do what she can to help them be so. She can really help out mother a lot now, especially with Sarah and her needs. She loves to make Sarah and Daniel laugh, and well, just about anyone she can make laugh brings her delight.
She is doing very well in school and was student of the month last month. Her name was in the paper and everything. She really likes math and her reading has really taken off.
She got a new bike from Meme and Paca.
I think she had a pretty good day.

We love you, Abby. We are ever so happy you are part of our family.

Spring Break

We took a two day vacation during Abby's spring break. We went to the Jacksonville Zoo about an hour away for the first day. Then went to our hotel to stay in a suite. We went across the street to eat pizza. And then the pool was not heated, so we just used the hot tub. It all worked out. Oh, Frank got to stay in the room with Sarah so she could sleep. So he missed some of the fun, but I think he liked it that way.

The kids waiting for their pizza. Dan got a toy truck from the zoo.
The Dinosaur "Dino-A-Live" attraction at the zoo. The dinosaurs moved and made sounds like real ones.
Daniel and Abby got to feed the giraffes.
The next day we went shopping for a short while then headed to the beach. If Sarah wasn't so tired, we would have stayed all day.

Sarah liked the sand, even if it was in her mouth.

Look at the face! So handsome.

A little bit of Sarah lately.

Don't you just love the leg warmers?

Sometimes she just doesn't want to sit up straight.

Sarah isn't very quiet when she gets tired. In fact she can be louder than Daniel at times, and that is saying a lot. She squeals really high and loud when she gets excited. This isn't her loudest, but it is a normal sound from her.

We finally got a short clip of her clapping. This is her big feat as late. She won't crawl. She has decided there is no need since all she has to do is look at Meme or Paca and hold her arms out to them and she gets picked up. But she is getting a little closer to crawling. I saw her use her toes today to move a half inch forward on the floor today, but then she got upset because she just couldn't reach what she wanted. All and all, she is happy and healthy. She is so fun to have around because she smiles at everything. Oh, and she is adorable too.
