Copperhill 3rd Ward Youth Conference 2009

The three legged race. Jimmy and Jamie
with Angie and Megan in the back.

Justin and Cory.
You would think with those long legs they would win, but they weren't so lucky.

The top of our Sunrise Morning hike.

More at the top.

Our group on the hike.

Tristy Rosenlund, the young women's president, had to sleep on the bed closest to the door for security reasons. She choose the top bunk because there was a dead squirel found earlier in the evening sitting on Megan's bag. So, Tristy was worried about the critters climbing into a lower bunk. The bed closest to the door and on the top bunk happened to be the noisest and wiggliest bed in the whole dorm. She made the best of it.

While we were waiting to start our testimony meeting, kids had to go back to the dorms to get jackets, I requested the bishop entertain us with something in Italian. He choose to teach us Old McDonald had a farm in Italian. We tried, but this is the best it got.

We all had a great time at the Reid Ranch. We all had fun riding horses, shotting archery, playing pioneer games, soccer, ping pong and boating among other sports and some great spiritual moments. However, we did have a twisted anckle, a young man kicked in the leg by a horse, someone kicked in the nose by another youth, bites from some chiggers, a couple of vans that miss the turn off in Fruitland and drove about an hour further than needed before figuring it out, but we still managed to have a fun time. One thing that helped was a good number put on by some synchronized swimmers in the pool. Thank you to all of you wonderful swimmers out there. You know who you are.
The youth were great. Everyone got a long well. We even saw a man at the ranch that looked a LOT like Luke Skywalker from Star Wars. It was wierd how much he looked like him.
Good times!

I hope we have as much fun at girls camp in a couple of weeks.

Looks like everyone had a great time and even came home in one piece. Glad it was such a good experience for all.
